Abstract: Abstract:At present，a general planning of a coal industrial mining area should be prepared for a coal resources development as stipulated by the Government，The general planning of mining area is an important part of each mine project construction，Using logical framework approach to carry out general planning of mining area，the existing problems can be comprehensively analyzed，a reasonable development goal mining area capacity and mine designed production capacity also be determined，and the pertinence on general planning of mining area be improved。 This paper took the general planning of yakeshi-wujiu coalfield mining area as an example，through the stakeholders analysis，problem analysis，objective analysis and strategy analysis，the methods and procedures of applying the logical framework of general planning of mining area were described。
